Today I worked on the layout for my honeymoon.  My hubby and I were married in September of 2006.  I know I'm quite behind on this, but just recently started scrapbooking.  I thought on this for days, but finally decided to start our scrapbook with our wedding and trying to catch up from there!

For our honeymoon we went camping and hiking on my families property in Kentucky.  This land has been in the family for over 100 years.  We absolutely love it down there as it is extremely peaceful and nothing around for miles.  While searching thru my papers I found some full of pine trees, which I thought would be perfect to tie into the camping/wilderness theme of the honeymoon..

Cricut cartridges used were.....
*Frog on the leaf, black title background = Playtime
*Lettering = Cricut Classic Font
I got the little campfire die cut from Scrap-E-Do, Inc.

Let me know what you think, I love comments :)

  1. That's really cute, Laura.......I love the froggie! As for negatives - there are none. We all can appreciate the creativity of our sisters in crafting and be engaged in their joy!

  2. I like it the tree paper is nice

  3. It's horrible! ;) Kidding...there is nothing neg. I can say about this! I love it! The paper choices are excellant! Love that it looks like the frog is saying honeymoon! Too cute! :) I think it's perfect for Kentucky pics!!! Great job, doll!!! :)

  4. It's a fantastic layout! The tree paper really helps with the "theme" of the honeymoon. Great job! I'm a new follower tool

  5. I like it! It is perfect for what you did on your honeymoon. I would get some orange paper and cut out some squigglies for flames and use pop ups to make it really stand out. I hope you don't mind my 2 cents. I like when people give me advice or add changes to my work cause I may not think of something that would add alittle something to a layout or card. kwim

  6. Kimmarie ~ Great idea, I was also thinking that the fire looked a little plain, but didn't know what to do with it! Thank you, I don't mind getting someone elses advice, or ideas about my projects either. I am new to scrapbooking, so it helps me to come up with new ideas to try :) Thanks for your feedback

  7. Hi, Laura! Just stopping by for a quick visit to say hello and see what you're up to. This is a really cute layout but I want to see it with the pictures mounted. LOL To add just a tiny bit to what Kimi said, you might add a small journaling tag to write on if you can position it where it doesn't interfere with the photos. Otherwise, it's perfect. I'm your newest follower.

  8. Thank you Anniebee! I'll post the pages with pictures for you. As far as the journaling tag, where the knotty pine and green paper are reversed from the rest is actually my journaling area :) Kinda hard to tell with no pictures on there and without it journaled already ;) Thanks for following! Heading to your blog now :)
