St. Patrick's Day :)

With St. Patrick's day right around the corner, I saw it fitting to make a wreath to celebrate the holiday.  I was hopping around on the Shimmering Shamrocks Blog Hop yesterday and saw 2 very different, but equally cute wreaths.  These 2 wreaths inspired me to create my own spin on St. Patty's wall decor :)

I started with a basic 14" wreath base

The straw was getting everywhere. So I decided to wrap it with green fabric.  I used a hot glue gun to adhere it to the wreath.

I picked up some green flower embellishments a while back, not sure what to use them on at the time.
Well they came very useful with this project :)  Here is a close up of the flowers I used.  They are from Prima Marketing Inc., came in a glass jar.  Iced Got Flowers?

I used basic needles to attach the flowers to the wreath. And then I added some ribbon to finish it off :)

I am thinking about adding some more flowers to it, what do you all think?

Wedding

I did this first layout a month ago.  After taking a gander at my blog, I feel like I needed to post another project.  I am away from home for the weekend and didn't bring my crafting supplies, so I was going thru my pictures on my computer and found that I never posted this one.

Matt and I were married on September 23rd, 2006.  This is the first layout that is in my scrapbook.

As I am new to this scrapbooking and blogging thing, I have decided to start our scrapbook with our wedding.  I have a lot to catch up on for sure!  I will be a very busy girl trying to catch up to 2011!!!

Hope you all enjoy my first page that I did :)

Cutting Spree!!!!

My cricut sure is getting the workout today:)  I'm not working on any specific project today, but I am on a cutting and piecing spree!  I am borrowing the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cart from a friend of mine.  So the plan is to cut out a ton of people in various colors, with the blackouts.   So far I have done an auto fill for 'white', tan, and dark brown.  15  3" people will fit on my 12x12 page.  So to do the math, I have cut out 45 black outs, 15 white, 15 tan, and 15 dark brown people!

Not only am I cutting all of these people out, I have also cut out hair, outfits, beards, shoes, and hats!  LOL  I do believe that my husband thinks I have lost my mind!  I just told him that I wanna cut out a bunch, since I never know when I may want to apply people to a layout or other project.

I have been wanting to purchase this specific cart for awhile now, but I never seem to have the extra cash around to get it.  So needless to say, I am prepared for what ever project that I may want to do involving people.  Even without having the cartridge at my full disposal!  Thank you Heather for kindly letting me borrow your carts :)

Honeymoon

I am posting my last layout again :)  As requested, I have added the pictures.  The empty green rectangle is meant for journaling, I just haven't figured out exactly what I want to write yet :)

I have also played around with the little camp fire die cut as was suggested, and I love how it changed the look of it :)  I don't have any red and yellow glitter glue right now, but I will add that at a later date also to make it look more "sparkly"

Honeymoon

Today I worked on the layout for my honeymoon.  My hubby and I were married in September of 2006.  I know I'm quite behind on this, but just recently started scrapbooking.  I thought on this for days, but finally decided to start our scrapbook with our wedding and trying to catch up from there!

For our honeymoon we went camping and hiking on my families property in Kentucky.  This land has been in the family for over 100 years.  We absolutely love it down there as it is extremely peaceful and nothing around for miles.  While searching thru my papers I found some full of pine trees, which I thought would be perfect to tie into the camping/wilderness theme of the honeymoon..

Cricut cartridges used were.....
*Frog on the leaf, black title background = Playtime
*Lettering = Cricut Classic Font
I got the little campfire die cut from Scrap-E-Do, Inc.  http://www.scrap-e-do.com/

Let me know what you think, I love comments :)
